This one of a kind vintage Kurdish rug is small and very soft and has a full high pile with some very minor wear.Eastern Anatolian, Antep and Malatya Kurdish pile weavings are easily recognizable by a long pile, medium knotting, and shiny coarse wools or goat hair. They are distinguished by bright colours of oranges, yellows, blues and reds though antique rugs from this group use a more subtle palette with deep apricot, cochineal, and deep Indigo Kurdish carpets exhibit strong bold geometric designs containing variations of hexagon, diamond and hooked lozenge or medallions. Beautiful examples of these tribal rugs are sort after by collectors.
